Tips on Preparing a Great Wedding Shoot
1. Remember, you are paying someone to capture the memories that you want to last for a life time. Plan what scenes you want captured and how you want them captured.
2. Meet with your videographer as soon as you know the date of the wedding and before you send out the wedding invitations. This way you can include a note to all your guests informing them of the importance of capturing this event. They will respect your request to be mindful of the cameras.
3. Lighting is very important in capturing your wedding ceremony and your reception. Dark rooms are to be avoided if at all possible. Your videographer should request access to the area wherein your wedding and reception will take place at least a week or so before your special day. This will allow them to walk through the ceremony with you and discuss the seating and arrangement of flowers, special guest and the official performing the service. If you wait until the wedding rehearsal to do this walk through, it might not be enough time to correct any possible last minute snafus.
